Laura graduated from University of Washington Seattle with a BA in Social Sciences before pursuing a career in corporate retail. She became interested in the practice of family law through her own divorce and pursued a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. While at Mitchell Hamline, Laura volunteered at the pro se clinic supporting family law matters, volunteered on the Covid Housing Assistance Project, and represented clients seeking Orders for Protection with the Covid Clinic. She has also completed the Domestic Abuse Legal Advocacy Center Trial Skills Advocacy Training course. Laura is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Family Law League.
Outside of work, Laura spends her time on her suburban homestead wrangling chickens with her partner, Aaron, and three sons, Noah, Judah, and Ezra. She is an avid gardener and reader, who also enjoys traveling and hiking, particularly anywhere there are mountains or ocean.
